NEBC achieved its non-profit status in July 1999. NEBC’s mission statement of “Bringing Children to the Arts & Arts to the Children”, motivates us to promote arts education in our schools. We exist to serve the community by providing opportunity to dancers of all ages and all ability levels. In conjunction with “Goals 2000: Educate America Act” New England Ballet Company has forged community partnerships with area schools for the purpose of educating school children in the performing arts. This initiative is called DANCE: Developing Appreciation and Nurturing in Cultural arts Education. And we are now recognizing the fact that dance education promotes school success at every level.
