Bwell health and fitness is a multi-faceted wellness conglomerate created by Matt Blackwell. Services include personal training, wellness and life coaching, nutrition counseling, residential and commercial gym design, boot camps, and corporate wellness programs in home, office, or online. bWell by applying Christian principles to every aspect of your life including fitness and nutrition. I want to coach, train, and motivate others about how to achieve their individual wellness. I want to share what I know works through what I've learned and experienced over 18 years in the fitness, wellness, and health industry with a scientific, holistic, and spiritual approach. Matt Blackwell's fitness philosophy: I believe functional strength is the foundation to fitness from areas of everyday movements, recreation, exercise, sports, and to peak performance. Nutrition is the key element to this functional wellness, and I believe IDlife nutrition has the best products to help you specific to your needs. I will assist you in achieving and discovering your specific wellness foundation with research-based knowledge, motivation, stimulating programs, and proven results. It is important to balance all the components of wellness (nutrition, strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and body composition) along with fulfilling emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual needs. I will assist you in making a plan, staying disciplined and achieving your goals in all these areas.
Credentials: I've worked in management and trained in several avenues of fitness from corporate, non-profit, private, faith-based, University recreation centers, and independently. Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Minor in Health promotions. University of Houston. Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets, Athletics officer. Past and current certifications include: NSCA and ACE- Personal training, CrossFit Level one trainer, CrossFit gymnastics trainer, CrossFit Kids trainer, USAW Sports performance, Completion of muscle activation technique internship course, Functional movement specialist(FMS), TRX, Indo-row, AKC-Kettlebell, Boxing-ISCA, Johnny G Spinning, Yoga- AAAI/ISMA, Power Plate level 1 & 2, Kinesis, Coached elementary and Jr High for girls and boys basketball, soccer, volleyball.
I also work at the Houstonian as a personal trainer, youth sports conditioning specialist, Studio 360 trainer, and group exercise instructor.
