Rabarbía is a brand of products from the farm Löngumyri in south Iceland. Rabarbía products are icelandic high-quality food products. The main ingredient of most of them is organic rhubarb, grown on the frtile lands within the sight of Hekla mountain. Rabarbía is a factory and a laboratory in one: every product is made by hand and these hands are always experimenting with new ways of giving the rhubarb new delicious ways of being.
It all started with the rhubarb caramel in 2008 which was the beginning of the Rabarbía brand. Both the caramel and the brand are designed by Arna Rut Þorleifsdóttir, Brynjar Sigurðarson, Krístin Þóra Sigurðardóttir, María Markovic & Stefanie Silbermann as a part of the 2008 project „Meeting Farmers“ at the Iceland Acadamy of the Arts.
