As legend has it, the original Midnight Platoon was formed sometime in the third quarter of the 1920's. Crime was running rampant and New York needed a fierce, ruthless, clandestine group to take back the tough streets of a violent city. Sometime in December of the year 1927 the first Midnight Platoon turned out to serve justice and instill ultimate fear in those who strayed from the laws governing society. In the year 1928 and with relaxed uniform constraints they evolved and embedded themselves within the criminals, awaiting the next incident, the next chance to make a public statement. In the event of a severe incident resulting in serious physical injury or death, rumor has it, the symbol of the original Midnight Platoon, which was believed to be tattoo'd along with an identification number, was photographed and the case was stored in an underground location that could be reviewed by an undocumented liaison between The Midnight Platoon and the District Attorney of jurisdiction. Throughout the Great Depression the secret society spread throughout the Greater North Eastern United Sates. Some estimate that The Midnight Platoon grew to over four thousand members who were vital to restoring safety to many of metropolis'.
