Description We are Malaysians who view our young as our nation‘s greatest asset. We hold fast to what Stacia Tauscher said: “ We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today. ”

Through our Rural-Urban Exchange Program, we hope to engage, educate and empower children to discover and affirm their own identities, develop core values, think for themselves and possess the tools that will enable them to succeed in today’s world and be young leaders in their own right.

SABM’s first RUEP camp was held from December 16th 2011 to December 18th 2011. It brought together urban children from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and rural children from Kelab Alami in Tanjung Kupang, Johore.

For this year, SABM RUEP has 20 urban and 20 rural children between the ages of 10 and 17.

Our program for urban children began in July and will involve two Saturdays per month from 9 am to 2 pm.
