The YMS in Hong Kong is the first overseas Younger Members Section for the Institution of Engineering and Technology. It was formed in 1991 with an aim to provide young engineers with an opportunity to organize their own activities, and at the same time, to serve their peers.
The YMS organizes more than 40 technical and non-technical events every year, including visits, seminars, workshops and competitions. Three Students Sections have been set up under the YMS for serving university students in Hong Kong and Macau and sub-degree students in Hong Kong.
