Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Summer Art camp is open to all children, ages 8 to 17, who have an interest in art. A recommendation is needed from a teacher, recreation leader or an art instructor.
Campers select either the Sculpture Program, which includes two sessions in sculpture, one in graphics and one in drawing each week; or the Painting Program which includes two sessions in painting, one in graphics and one in drawing each week. Qualified professional artists will provide instructions in Drawing, Graphics, Painting and Sculpture in an outdoor setting.
To provide maximum involvement, each unit is limited to twelve students per teacher.
Breakfast & lunch are provided. Refrigeration is available for campers who prefer to bring their own lunch.
Since the Art Camp is designed for the artistically motivated participant, campers who exhibit little inclination towards the arts will be removed from the roll.
