Les Couleurs Charity educates, heals and inspires the most vulnerable children in the world through art and creativity programs
Les Couleurs Charity's creative art program, CREATE, aims to educate, heal, and empower underprivileged children through the power of art therapy. Our goal is to inspire these children and help them rediscover their self-confidence and rebuild their self-esteem through their artworks. CREATE can open doors to endless possibilities including healing through artistic expression, higher learning, and career options in fields such as graphic arts, fashion, and becoming their own businesses in related fields.
What sets our organization apart from others is that we are spearheaded by seven women who are hands on with everything we do even to the smallest details. We pick up donations, ship them ourselves, travel to Haiti to implement CREATE, hire and train staff, and work with children directly. Back in New York, our charitable color-themed events draw an international crowd of artists, entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers and finance professionals.
Why get involved?
"Ora na azu nwa" which translates from a Nigerian Igbo proverb to "It takes a community/village to raise a child." We welcome your support with our goals. Thank you!
Les Couleurs Charity taps into the underdeveloped creative potential of the most unfortunate and abandoned children in the world, and inspires them to express themselves as creators of arts - and of their future. Through Les Couleur’s CREATE program, these children can aspire to a positive future in all aspects of their lives and harness the power of art to establish psychosocial and physical independence. The mission of Les Couleurs Charity is to provide a safe environment where CREATE’s art therapy is given a voice to heal, inspire, and empower children everywhere.
