I’m Eleanor Brownn (yes, I spell Brownn with 2 Ns) and I live in Los Angeles, California, where I was born and raised. I’m an educator, by profession. I started this page in 2011 during an extended stay in New Zealand and Australia when I was turning 60. A series of material and spiritual setbacks had left me discouraged, and I found myself literally “upside down” on the other side of the world in the South Pacific. I started posting on FB as a creative outlet for my feelings while I was in Melbourne. I was writing to encourage my own self (!!!), saying the things I needed someone to say to me. I was more than a little shocked when I saw other people all over the world resonate with what I was writing and my page began to grow. After Australia, I traveled a bit then ultimately returned to L.A. At one point, I suffered a head injury in a car accident that had me pretty shaky, but I still managed to get a few posts up during that era! There was a long period of recuperation. Although my life today is very different than it was before, I’m keeping an open mind as to what comes next. In the meantime, you’ll find me here on FB. I’m not going anywhere. I will be posting more stuff from my Archives. After 6 years of creating new posters every day, I have a big catalog. So it will be a mix of the old and new. Between composing the words and creating the artwork, it takes me about an hour to make a poster. I know, that’s waaaaay too long (LOL) but I’m a little perfectionistic and I find the process of adding textures and colors to the photos to be relaxing. I take my time to make each one unique. Thank you so much for following my page. I love seeing your comments, and I am especially touched whenever someone lets me know my posts help them get through their day or a difficult situation. Hearing that makes all the work seem worthwhile. Peace and blessings to you. May all your dreams come true.
