We are a couple of baby boomers who discovered how much fun it is to create! We started making silly magnets as gifts for family, and decided to see if others liked our crazy craft. We have very different styles of painting. John has a vivid imagination and isn't afraid of color. I think his style would be considered primitive or naive. I lean more towards "cuteness" and don't have any idea what my style is!
Our dog Hannah is the inspiration for our wonderful wiener magnets, and our old cat Indy is the model for our fat cats. We both design the shapes of the magnet, and John cuts them out using his scroll saw. Each magnet is made of birch plywood, painted with acrylics, sprayed with lacquer, and has a flat magnet attached. They are numbered, signed and dated on the back.
