TC Wallace FoundationSociety — Non-profit organization
|About||TC Wallace Foundation|
TC Wallace Foundation uses the power and united forces of community leaders, social and political advocates and the entertainment industry to highlight issues and provide solutions for problems in local communities in hopes to make a positive and effective impact throughout the nation. TCWF achieves its vision of Reaching for change, One Star at a Time by focusing on three areas: Community Development, Health & Wellness and Youth Development.
TCWF aims to improve the quality of life for others in communities that we live and work in. By staying consciously aware of community needs, TCWF provide programs and events that contribute to the community’s cultural, civic, and intellectual growth. Also, we encourage individuals to acquire the skills and resources they need to take advantage of the opportunities and challenges that a rapidly changing economy presents.
Health & Wellness
Individuals, families, and communities throughout the US face a series of challenges to their health and well-being—challenges range from breast cancer and lack of insurance to high cholesterol and rise in childhood diabetes. Through resources, volunteer participation, and health related events, TCWF dedicates its efforts to help communities address these issues.
TCWF recognizes today's young people as tomorrow's leaders. As such, we work diligently to expand educational opportunities for young people, to eliminate barriers to student achievement, and to provide additional support to our youth.
|Overview||TC Wallace Foundation ("TCWF") was originally founded in 2009 as a donor scholarship program in memory of Thelma and Cleveland Wallace for disadvantage students in St. Louis, MO. Thelma and Cleveland were two well respected individuals that gave their heart and soul to helping others. A few years after their passing, their granddaughter ReAnn Hines, founded the TC Wallace Foundation as way to continue their legacy and service the nation by changing lives, one star at a time.|
