About PUWRS has as its goal building bridges of understanding and cooperation among the world’s religious traditions and communities.
Overview PUWRS provides an institutional foundation and research and educational programs that enable scholars, teachers, students, and community partners to work together to address local and global challenges of significance to our shared health and wellbeing. PUWRS has several programs already underway and, working together with partners in the broader community who share our vision, looks forward to implementing several additional programs.

Current and planned project sponsored by or partnering with PUWRS include the following: Bishop Walter Sullivan Lecture, Brown/Lyons Lecture, Powell Edwards Lecture,
William E. and Miriam S. Blake Lecture, Interfaith Dialogue Project, Student Parliament of World Religions Project, Science, Reason and Faith Lecture Series Project, Distinguished Professorship in Islam Project, The Sacred Gardens Project, The Religion, Art and Culture Project, Religious Liberty and Social Justice, and Community Action Dialogues for Greater Richmond.
