香港大學學生會划艇會 Rowing Club, HKUSU
|About||Founded in 1981. HKU Rowing Club is the best and the oldest university boat club in Hong Kong. Together we row, like a champion.|
Established in 1981 Rowing Club, HKUSU is the oldest university boat club in Hong Kong. Over the years, hardships and obstacles never stopped us growing stronger. HKU is amongst the strongest university rowing teams in Hong Kong. Our medal haul in 2013 consisted of 12 gold medals, 11 silvers and 9 bronzes from all local regattas and varsity championships. The HKU Men 8+ was awarded the "Men's Eight of the Year" in 2013 by Hong Kong China Rowing Association for their astonishing achievement. HKU is the winner of M8+ in both the University Championships and Intervarsity Boat Race in 2015.
It is never easy to row. Every bit of sweat and pain counts for that medal. 400 hours of training over the 3-month summer 'vacation' is no joke. The honour that comes with it and friendship that ties us together make it all worth. As HKU rowers we are bound to fight in the intervarsity boat race against our rival CUHK, honoured and obliged, we must fight till the last second and win.
HKU is very competitive and want you, the best and finest athlete to join. Recruitment period starts from September to October each year, stay tune to this page and share our honour in the boat.
